Adam Price is writer-creator and Executive Producer at SAM Productions Ltd.
Adam Price is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning screenwriter and playwright who has written a number of TV series that have reached a broad audience in many countries over the world. His latest TV series, Borgen (DR Drama 2008-2012), has been sold to more than 80 countries across five different continents – and been awarded with a BAFTA Award for the Best International Drama, a Prix Italia Award, a Fipa d’Or for Best Drama, a Peabody Award as well as the Danish TV Award for Best Drama for three consecutive years. Price was also the creator of Anna Pihl (TV 2 Drama), winning the Danish TV Award for Best Drama in 2006, and he was behind the original idea of the Emmy Award-winning Nikolaj and Julie (DR Drama). Before that Adam Price was staff writer on the TV series TAXA for DR Drama (1997-98). For the theatre, Price has written a number of plays and musicals, lately the critically acclaimed A Conversation Before Death (the Betty Nansen Theatre, Copenhagen 2014).
Apart from writing, Adam Price stars as a TV chef with his brother, James Price, hosting the TV show "Spise med Price” (currently in its 9th season at DR), he is the writer of several cookbooks and he co-owns five restaurants in Denmark (www.brdr-price.dk.)
Adam Price initially studied law at the University of Copenhagen and began writing professionally in the late eighties. Price has also worked as a freelance writer and restaurant critic for Politiken, a major Danish newspaper, and he was Head of Drama for the Danish TV 2 in 2000-2004.
